Welcome to the Banstead Neville Bowling Club Website

We are a very sociable outdoor lawn bowling club with 185 members – men and women of all ages. A former notable member was Marshall of the Royal Air Force Arthur William Tedder, 1st Baron Tedder, GCB.

Our bowling season runs from mid April to the end of September – 10.30 am to sunset in the lovely setting of Lady Neville Recreation Ground. Social activities continue throughout the year. There is a regular weekly programme of club bowling events – see the REGULAR EVENTS page – and there are annual club competitions for both men and women. We also encourage all our members, whatever their level of skill, to put their names forward for league and friendly games against other clubs.

The Club is just off Banstead High Street, across the road from Waitrose, in the Lady Neville Recreation Ground.  We have a six rink bowling green and a very spacious and well-appointed pavilion which we use for functions, table tennis, darts, crafts and whist.  We have good changing, toilet and catering facilities – all set within a secure compound.  There is easy access for disabled bowlers and spectators.

Have you ever tried a game of bowls?

Come and have a go!  We invite you to try the game and, if you like it, we will give you lessons with one of our qualified coaches.  Then, if you do join the Club, there will be more free coaching available to help you improve your game. All you need is a pair of flat shoes – we will provide the bowls
